I’m not sure, but I doubt that these two chose their wedding date, the time of their ceremony, or the fact that they would have warm enough weather that night to have the ceremony outside, based on the super moon. But it happened just that way.
These two dear people are both currently in Chicago — GO CUBS GO! But, as she grew up in Kansas City, they welcomed 95% of the people for their wedding to our city for quite the party.
As it always turns out, walking into the wedding I felt a sense that I didn’t deserve to be there. Sara and Bobby both have decades of time spent with people; their siblings, parents, friends – a fact that was made clear by how close they are to their college friends (who live all over the place), Sara to her sisters, Bobby to his brothers, etc. But it once again drew me into the joy of the opportunity to witness it, to document it, to only have to tell the truth about who they are in order to do my job well.
It was such an honor to watch them begin their family together, super moon overhead.
